Scope

53 years after his death, the personality of Grigore C. Moisil (CV) still dominates the world of Romanian and international mathematics. On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of his birth, we would like to mark this occasion by publishing a special volume of the Scientific Annals of Computer Science (SACS).

Topics of Interest

This special issue aims to provide an opportunity for researchers worldwide to share their original research achievements in Algebras of Logic. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Boolean algebras, Lattices, Residuated lattices;
  • Algebras of many-valued logics: Lukasiewicz-Moisil algebras, MV algebras, BL algebras, BCK algebras, etc.;
  • Non-commutative many-valued algebras: Pseudo-MV algebras, Pseudo-BL algebras, pseudo-BCK algebras, etc.;
  • Heyting algebras, Modal algebras, Tense algebras;
  • Multiplicative lattices, quantales, frames;
  • Quantum structures;
  • Algebraic logic of various non-classical predicate calculi (polyadic and cylindric algebras);
  • Algebraic methods in the study of lattices of congruences;
  • Commutator theory in universal algebra.

Schedule

  • Submission deadline: July 31, 2026
  • Referee reports: October 19, 2026
  • Revised version: November 9, 2026
  • Camera-ready paper: December 14, 2026

How to submit

Submissions should be prepared in LaTeX (eventually using the provided template) and submitted as PDF files to both bogdan.aman@gmail.com and sacs@info.uaic.ro, indicating that it is for the special issue.

Peer review process

Upon receipt of a manuscript the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) will make an initial assessment of suitability for review (e.g., language, scope, quality). The EiC will seek at least 2 independent reviews by experts in the field and may seek recommendations for independent reviewers from the Guest Editors.

Open access

SACS is a diamond open access journal without subscription and without fees for article processing, publication. All articles are freely available online, offering an increased visibility and usage of their results.
